Officials from the Arab League, UN, AU, EU meet in Cairo to discuss Libya – Cairo Video

Officials from the Arab League, United Nations, African Union, and European Union have been meeting in Cairo to discuss the crisis in Libya. The UN is calling for a united Libyan army before it lifts its current arms embargo. Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit is hosting UN Special Envoy to Libya Martin Kobler, new African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki, and the EU’s Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini. They’ve discussing ways to achieve a lasting peace in Libya. Instability continues in the country with two governments vying for power. The factionalism and in-fighting have led to a surge in arrivals of African migrants via the Mediterranean.
